Hangzhou Hongda Decorative Cloth Weaving has been providing the international marketplace with high quality fabrics for curtains, bedding, mattresses and upholstery since 1985.

The joint venture company has annual sales of more than $12 million, approximately 300 employees and uses state-of-the-art equipment, including German Terrot knitting machines, Swiss Lasser embroidery machines and Belgian Picanol weaving equipment.

The company specializes in unique curtain and mattress fabrics and exports 96% of its products to the U.S., Canada, Australia and Europe. "About 60% of our products are exported to the American market and we want to increase our business in the U.S.," comments company representative Wayne Qin. "We hope we can meet some large U.S. customers and introduce our products to them at Global Home Textiles."

ZHEJIANG YITONG HIGHLIGHTS
INTRICATE STITCHED QUILTS, BEDDING

Zhejiang Yitong Arts & Crafts is an export-oriented manufacturer specializing in hand- and machine-quilted bedding products, including patchwork quilts, bedspreads, sheets and decorative pillows.

The privately owned company was established in 1998 and its current annual output exceeds 100 million yuan ($12.8 million.) The company has earned ISO 9001 certification and employs 286 people

About 90% of the company’s products are exported to the U.S., Italy, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Spain, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The U.S. represents about 20% of the export business. "We intend to extend our U.S. market share," states Qinghao Lou, general manager. "Fashionable patterns, sophisticated technology, reliable reputation, wide varieties and reasonable prices are all our specialties."

Vertical Manufacturer Cherry
Targets Fabric, Bedding Markets

Shandong Cherry Textile Group has established itself as a leading vertical manufacturer of decorative fabrics and bedding products.

Founded in 1966, the joint venture company manufactures gray goods, dyed and printed fabrics and bed sheets and has annual sales of $120 million. Cherry exports about 50% of its products to the U.S. and Europe; the company has been participating in U.S. shows for four years and steadily increasing its U.S. sales.

The company invests heavily in its manufacturing facilities, which include Tsudkoma spinning machines, Toyota and Piconal weaving machines, and Brother and Juki sewing machines, run by 4,500 employees. "We control the quality from beginning to end," notes Steven Ellen, sales manager.

Zibo Yungtao Focuses On
Bath and Beach Towel Business

Zibo Yungtao Textiles is a major producer of high quality bath and beach towels, with a vast product range encompassing solid, jacquard, dobby, zero-twist, fiber-reactive and embroidered towels.

The company was founded in 1980 and currently has annual sales of $15 million, with 1,600 employees. Yungtao exports approximately 60% of its products to the U.S. and Europe. "Our quality and service is our advantage," states executive Andy Wei. "We are buying new Rapier looms and employing more skilled designers and technologists to make higher quality towels."

The company has participated in the New York Home Textiles Show for the past three years, and is looking to increase its U.S. business at Global Home Textiles. "We hope to increase our business in the U.S.," remarks Wei. "Our expectation is to meet more U.S. customers and establish cooperation."

Vertical Producer Taifeng
Aims To Build .U.S. Business

Fabric and home textiles producer Taifeng Textile Group is targeting the U.S. market for substantial growth.

Founded in 1976, the vertical manufacturer supplies high-count combed yarns, fabric for home textiles and apparel, and finished home textiles products including sheets, curtains and table linens. Taifeng exports about 40% of its products; its key markets include the U.S., European Union, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Australia and Singapore.

"The market for home textiles is in the U.S.A.; it is very important for us," explains Amy Zhao, assistant manager. "We are updating our equipment and investing in design."

Taifeng currently has annual sales of $40 million and more than 7,000 employees. The company is upgrading its facilities with new equipment, including machinery from Rieter, Ingolstade, Savio, Sucker, Beniger, Tsudakoma, Picanol, Staudil and Bonas.

Jiao Jiang Spotlights Furniture, Gifts and Home Textiles

Furniture and giftware manufacturer Jiao Jiang is expanding its business to encompass an assortment of home textiles, including bedding, curtains and accessories.

The U.S. currently represents about 30 percent of the company’s annual sales, which total approximately $30 million. Other major markets include Europe and the Middle East.

Founded in 1988, Jiao Jiang is showing for the first time at Global Home Textiles, emphasizing its competitive prices and high quality. "We hope to meet some new customers and get new orders" comments Eddy Zeng, sales manager.

Blanket Supplier Rongyi
Emphasizes Fashionable Prints

Rongyi Blanket is becoming a major supplier of blankets and accessories, focusing on high quality knits and stylish prints.

Hebei Gaoyang Yongxing, a 20-year-old textile factory, established the Rongyi Blanket division in 2000 and today has annual sales of $18 million. Rongyi exports about 50% of its products, primarily to Europe and the Middle East; the U.S. currently represents just 5% of the company’s business.

Rongyi specializes in knitted blankets, and currently owns 180 circular knit machines, 10 raschel knit machines and employs 1,200 people. The company is investing in new equipment to enhance its production, including two wide-width automatic printing machines.

Hangzhou Tianhong Stresses Quality
In Fabrics and Finished Products

Hangzhou Tianhong was founded in 1999 as a producer of decorative upholstery and curtain fabrics and has expanded its business to finished products including curtains, cushions, furniture covers and table linens.

The private company generates annual sales of $5 million and exports 95% of its products, primarily to Europe. The U.S. currently represents about 15% of the company’s business, and Tianhong is exhibiting at Global Home Textiles for the first time in an effort to expand its U.S. presence.

Tianhong and its 120 employees are dedicated to quality, and its factory has earned ISO 9001 and ISO 2000 certification. "High quality products are very important for our customers," explains Tianhong executive Jocelyn Qiao.

Jinhua Mumi Jiaye Offers Variety
in Quilts, Comforters and Bed Sets

Jinhua Mumi Jiaye Textile & Garment is offering a wide variety of looks and constructions in bedding, including quilts, comforters and sets.

The private company was founded in 2003 and exports 100% of its products. Japan is its major market, with the U.S. representing about 10% of the company’s business. Jinhua previously showed at the New York Home Textiles Show in 2005, and the company expects to develop new contacts at Global Home Textiles.

Jinhua has 200 employees and is investing in its factories, adding new carding, sewing, single-needle and multi-needle machinery, in order to serve the export market.

Shandong Charming Expands
U.S. Marketing Efforts

Major home textiles producer Shandong Charming is targeting the U.S. market for significant expansion.

Founded in 1979 as a private firm, Charming provides major U.S. retail chains with a large range of bedding products, window treatments, shower curtains and table linens. The company generates annual sales of more than $50 million and about 80% of its products are for the export market, with the U.S. representing about 40% of the business.

Charming specializes in embroidery and other intricate manufacturing techniques and is investing heavily in facilities and equipment.

The company has 1,500 employees and its factories have achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification.

"We are making investments every year to maintain our fast growth," notes Hou Chunshui, general manager, exports. "At Global Home Textiles, we hope we can meet some valuable customers and extend our sales in the U.S. market."

Beijing Jiu Da Presents
Versatile Bedding and Accessories Line

Beijing Jiu Da Import & Export is offering a wide-ranging assortment of quilts, bedroom ensembles, curtains, cushions and table linens to the international market.

The company was founded in 1996 and exports 70% of its products, primarily to Europe and South America; the U.S. represents about 10% of its business. Jiu Da has 180 employees and uses state-of-the-art computer-aided embroidery machines, sewing machines and lining machines.

Global Home Texiles is the Jiu Da’s first U.S. show and the company is highlighting its international designs, high-quality workmanship and service to expand its business. "The American market is very important to us," says manager Ke Lan. "Our company hopes to get to know more clients and increase our exports."

Zhejiang Feihong Launches
New Down Bedding Items

Down and feather producer Zhejiang Feihong is offering a large selection of down-filled comforters, pillows, cushions and bedding accessories to the global market.

Exports currently represent 50% of the 11-year-old company’s annual sales of $20 million. Major markets include Europe, South America and the U.S., which accounts for about 20% of Feihong’s business.

A private company, Feihong has 500 employees and is investing substantially in product development. "We are investing in new products every year," points out Shirley Lei, business manager. "Our company advantage is that we control the raw materials.

"We anticipate increasing our business in the U.S.," Lei adds. "We hope to get to know more new customers at Global Home Textiles."

Zhejiang Huaxing Enhances
Down And Feather Bedding Line

Leading feather and down manufacturer Zhejiang Huaxing is focusing on exceptional service and new product development to stay in the forefront of the international bedding market.

Huaxing was established in 1989 and currently offers a full range of down-filled bedding products, as well as an assortment of sheets, quilts and cushions. The company generates annual sales of $78 million; 80% of its business is with Japan. The U.S. currently represents about 10% of the company’s business.

In 2003, Huaxing invested more than $100 million in its manufacturing facilities, which are ISO 9001 certified. The company has 1,700 employees, including a strict quality control and inspection team. "We anticipate increasing our business in the USA," comments sales manager Binrong Fu. "We are developing our production capabilities and using advanced technology."
