Global Home Textiles® Attracting Attention Around the Globe;
Leading Manufacturers Will Present Exciting Collections and Upgraded Capabilities
Leading manufacturers from all over the world will exhibit at the Global Home Textiles® and Global Home Décor® shows, which will be held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas May 6 to 8, 2008.

Both Global Home Textiles and Global Home Décor serve U.S. importers, wholesalers and mid- to large volume retailers seeking to source directly from overseas producers. Global Home Textiles showcases home textiles manufacturers and their manufacturing capabilities and will feature an estimated 350 manufacturers from around the world, including suppliers of bed, bath and table linens, window treatments and home furnishings fabrics.
The new, complementary Global Home Décor show highlights home decor manufacturers and their manufacturing capabilities and will present an estimated 300 overseas suppliers of accent furniture, home accessories, lighting, tabletop and giftware to North American home décor buyers. Global Home Décor will showcase manufacturers from India, China, the Philippines, Japan, Mexico, Indonesia and other countries.
Currently, the largest contingent of exhibitors at Global Home Textiles is from China. "We have nearly 200 companies from the Jiangsu, Guangdong and Shandong provinces," Sikalis points out. "We also have large numbers of exhibitors from India, including more than 60 companies plus several fiber councils, and Pakistan, with nearly 50 companies exhibiting."
Other countries that are expected to have a substantial presence at Global Home Textiles are Egypt, including a special Egyptian pavilion; Taiwan, including the Taiwan Textile Federation; Italy; Turkey, Vietnam, Brazil and Mexico.
"The product assortment spans a broad range, from value-priced goods to luxury merchandise," Sikalis notes. "The show will offer a good mix of towels, bed linens, bed coverings, window treatments, decorative fabrics, greige goods and trims; several major fiber companies also will be represented."
Luxury resources will have a differentiated presence on the show floor with the debut of the exciting "Luxe Living" exhibition area dedicated to high-end manufacturers and distinctive, customized booths. Upscale companies from Italy, Portugal, Israel, Japan, Thailand and India are expected to participate in Luxe Living, according to Sikalis.
"We are very excited to present higher-end companies from around the world," she explains. "Exhibitors with high-quality product and a more sophisticated presentation will be showcased in Luxe Living, differentiating these resources for the convenience of buyers who are focused on better goods."
GLM will offer a full roster of educational programming and special events during Global Home Textiles and Global Home Décor, including a conference program, special seminars, and networking meetings for both exhibitors and attendees. All events will be conveniently located at the Sands Expo and Convention Center.
Global Home Textiles once again is co-locating with GLM's Gourmet Housewares Show®, which also will be held at the Sands Expo, as well as the National Hardware Show®, Lawn & Garden World® and the Homewares Show™ produced by Reed Exhibition at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Frequent shuttle buses will run between the convention centers and hotels to allow visitors to maximize their show experiences. Badge reciprocity will allow market participants into the co-located venues. The combined home products trade shows are expected to draw more than 40,000 participants, including an estimated 4,000 total exhibitors.
Global Home Textiles® Partners With New Immagine Italia Show
To Boost International Home Fashions Business
Global Home Textiles® is working together with the new Immagine Italia Show in Italy to create excitement in the international home fashions industry.
Global Home Textiles producer George Little Management, LLC (GLM®) has partnered with Immagine Italia to promote both exhibitions to the international home furnishings industry. Immagine Italia is produced in Florence, Italy, by Pistoia Promuove, a non-profit consortium of Florence businesses. The first exhibition is taking place Feb. 15 to 18, 2008.
"We feel strongly that both of our shows--Global Home Textiles and Immagine Italia--have a tremendous amount to offer visitors and exhibitors," notes Penny Sikalis, vice president of global business development for GLM. "Our location in Las Vegas and Immagine Italia's venue in Florence are both exciting, vibrant locations for home fashions exhibitions. Working together, we feel we can make both events important to the international marketplace."
