To New Las Vegas Venue May 6 to 8, 2008

The international home fashions industry will benefit from an exciting new venue when the annual Global Home Textiles® show moves to Las Vegas, Nev., for its second edition May 6 to 8, 2008.

"Both visitors and exhibitors participating in Global Home Textiles will benefit from the show's expansion and our new Las Vegas setting," comments Penny Sikalis, vice president of global business development for leading trade show organizer GeorgeLittle Management, LLC, (GLM®) which produces Global Home Textiles. "Las Vegas is both a world-class tourist destination as well as a state-of-the-art exhibition location."

Global Home Textiles and the exciting new Global Home Décor® shows will take place at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. Additionally, Global Home Textiles once again is co-locating with GLM's Gourmet Housewares Show®, which also will be held at the Sands Expo, as well as the National Hardware Show®, Lawn & Garden World® and the Homewares Show™ produced by Reed Exhibition at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Frequent shuttle buses will run between the convention centers and hotels to allow visitors to maximize their show experiences.

Additional excitement will be generated at Global Home Textiles and Global Home Décor with the debut of "Luxe Living," a new exhibition area dedicated to high-end resources and distinctive, customized booths. Upscale companies from Italy, Portugal, Israel, Japan, Thailand and India are expected to participate, according to Sikalis.

"Among the many enhancements at GLM's 2008 global home marketplace, the 'Luxe Living' area will present higher-end companies from around the world, featuring a new level of resources that will expand the shows' breadth of product," she explains. "Exhibitors with high-quality product and a more sophisticated presentation will be showcased in this distinctive Luxe Living area on the show floor, differentiating these resources for the convenience of buyers who are focused on high-end merchandise."

Both Global Home Textiles and Global Home Décor serve U.S. importers, wholesalers and mid- to large volume retailers seeking to source directly from overseas producers. Global Home Textiles showcases home textiles manufacturers and their manufacturing capabilities and will feature an estimated 350 manufacturers from around the world, including suppliers of bed, bath and table linens, window treatments and home furnishings fabrics. The new, complementary Global Home Décor highlights home decor manufacturers and their manufacturing capabilities and will present an estimated 300 overseas suppliers of accent furniture, home accessories, lighting, tabletop and giftware to North American home décor buyers.

GLM will offer a full roster of educational programming and special events during Global Home Textiles and Global Home Décor, including a conference program, special seminars, and networking meetings for both exhibitors and attendees. All events will be conveniently located at the Sands Expo and Convention Center.

The combined home products trade shows are expected to draw more than 40,000 participants, including an estimated 4,000 total exhibitors. "The Sands is one of the largest trade show and meeting facilities in the world, and features more than 40,000 hotel rooms within a 10-minute walk," Sikalis points out. "Having all five of these home-focused trade shows running at the same time will make this the largest marketplace for home products in the U.S."
